Registration prices (students : 150 €, and academics : 200 €, industrials : 300 €) include proceedings, coffee breaks, lunches, the evening event, and the event tour. Registration fees may be paid in cash at the registration desk, or in advance by credit card or bank transfer (see 'Registration' option in the menu-bar).
COST grants will be attributed to the most active members of COST865 (ONLY inside the 35 European countries part of COST). Attribution will be done end of March, based on proposed contributions.

Optional Event Tour
A 3 hrs trip to Transylvanian landscape and a visit to an ancient salt mine in Turda, 30 km far from Cluj, followed by a city tour (walk in the city center). Details about the salt mine.

Every participant has to make his/her own reservation at the hotel of his/her choice.
Rate of exchange : 1 RON (Romanian New Leu) = 0,24 Euro ; 1 Euro = 4,3 RON

All hotels have Internet connexions some with WIFI, TV, telefon, minibar. Mentionned approximative rates are breakfast included.

By plane to Cluj International Airport
Regularly direct flights to Cluj-Napoca from Frankfurt, Wien, Bologna, Budapest or via Bucharest can be booked (more than 40 different flights arriving to Cluj !). However, booking early is advisable ! To find the appropriate flight, see for example TAROM, WIZZ Air, Blue Air, KLM, Skyscanner.
From Cluj International Airport, the easiest way to reach the hotel is to take a taxi (about 6 €) or bus nr.8 to the city center (about 20 min).

By train
They are four daily trains from/to Budapest (journey time - 8 hours). Trains to other western European cities run via Budapest or Wien.

By car Cluj is located at 6 hours driving from Budapest, approximately 8 hours from Wien. Be aware that driving in Romania is a bit tricky !

Electricity : Power is AC 220 V, 50 Hz; electric plugs are similar to any other country on the continent.

At the restaurant ... ... to leave a 10 % tip would be appreciated !

Weather ... in Romania in may is generally pleasant and sunny. Temperatures range from 20 to 25 °C during the day and 10-15 °C at the evening. However, an umbrella can prove useful.
